DISSEMINATION SUPPORT

We love to support the dissemination of knowledge and best practice related to our key areas of for children and their carers, and to related professionals. Whilst there is a preference to focus on our specific research calls (Motor Coordination, Nutrition and the Microbiome, Physical Activity and Rolandic Epilepsy) we will consider applications related to our broader interests in neurodevelopment, childhood trauma and sleep as well. These grants are smaller than our research funding, and grants are typically up to £10,000, although applications for larger awards will be considered in special circumstances. This dissemination can be either by researchers themselves or by support groups, and could take the form of:

  • Website / App development
  • Helplines
  • Newsletters
  • Workshops
  • Conferences, either sponsorship of or attendance at.

However, we are unlikely to wish to be the sole funder of any such support, so it will be important that you demonstrate what your own fundraising efforts have been and how we can augment your success. We will also consider how cost-effective your plans are.

Applications and Deadlines – there are no deadlines for dissemination grants. They can be submitted all year round. We recommend you submit a short 1-page summary as an expression of interest with a total project amount and total requested amount. If we feel the project aligns well with our interests, we will arrange a follow-up phone call or ask you to submit a full application.
